Liverpool won 6-3 against Tottenham Hotspur, extending their lead at the top to four points. The game was full of goals and excitement and Diaz and Salah were the stars of the show, both scoring twice. The scoring started in the 23rd minute when Diaz met a brilliant cross from Trent Alexander-Arnrold with a diving header.

Just minutes later, Alexis Mac Allister added a 2nd header from close range with Andry Robertson’s cross. Tottenham responded just before halftime, with James Maddison scoring from a Mac Allister mistake in the 41st minute.

But Dominik Szoboszlai restored Liverpool’s two-goal cushion in stoppage time of the first half with a nutmeg on Fraser Forster. The second half was all Salah.

He scored two in seven minutes to take his season tally to 15 and overtake Billy Liddell on the all-time Liverpool scoring list. His first was a close-range finish in the 54th minute, and the second was seconds later when Szoboszlai set him up perfectly.

Liverpool were dominant, but Spurs scored through Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke to give them hope. But Diaz wrapped up the scoring in the 85th minute, and it could have been even more goals after that.

Salah spoke after the game and said the team was good going forward but needed to improve at the back. Liverpool are top with 39 points from 16 games and Tottenham are 11th with 23 points from 17.
